Fried Calamari with sweet and sour sauce

This dish is sooo delicious. I made this in the weekend and it was gone with a blink of an eye...that's how great it was. :) It was so crunch and with the sauce. aahh...just awesome!! This is how I make my calamari.

1 lb of calamari

creamy coating
2 tablespoon of corn starch
1 egg yolk
a pinch of garlic powder
a pich of powder galangal
salt + pepper
Mix all the ingredients and then add the calamari

dry coating
3 tablespoon of corn starch
salt + pepper + garlic powder

Heat up the oil on a pan, take little by little of the calamari and coat it inside the dry coating and fry.

1/2 cup of ketchup
1 teaspoon of garlic
2 tablespoon of orange juice ( can be replaced w/ pineapple)
1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
1 teaspoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of ginger
1 teaspoon of corn starch
salt + pepper
